2013 – 4 decades of Graham’s Vintage Port by Dominic Symington

This was the first real Port masterclass at a Portweinmesse and what a masterclass to start with. With the 2011 being one of the great vintages of this century as the focus of the fair and the unique opportunity to taste almost all vintage ports in Leverkusen, the interest in this masterclass was huge. Dominic Symington opened vintage ports that were over four decades old and was able to explain the different styles of the vintages alongside with their current drinking plateau.

- Graham’s Vintage Port 2011 

- Graham’s Vintage Port 2007 

- Graham’s Vintage Port 1997 

- Graham’s Vintage Port 1985 

- Graham’s Vintage Port 1970 

After the tasting, organiser Axel Probst was certain that Vintage Port from his year of birth 1970, would still taste very good to his children in old age.
