2021 - 5 Decades of Sandeman Vintage Port by Luis Sottomayor

Another monumental Portweinmesse-Masterclass with Sograpes head oenologist Luis Sottmayor, who explained to the more than 50 participants how the respective starting conditions of the vintages affect the current sensoric characteristics.
Luis started with the 2018 vintage and continued with 2011, which already impressed everyone as a baby at the 2014 Portweinmesse, and ended with a perfectly matured Vintage Port from 1977 and 1966.
All participants realised that Vintage Port is a time capsule that is worth resting for decades in the cellar for uncorking. Even the 66 still has a few decades of enjoyment ahead of it.
